Farm Environmental Management Plans

Get ahead
of the game.

Almost all regional councils in New Zealand now require farmers to submit  farm environmental plans to remain in compliance with their regulations. There are a growing number of plan providers out there, but very few as expert in this field as Groundstock.

Our farm environmental management plans are easy to digest documents that provide detailed, scientific soil and land resource analysis along with any environmental mitigation measures that are recommended to bring your farm in line with your regional council’s regulations.

We tailor our expert plans to suit the requirements of individual councils. We currently produce farm environmental plans tailored specifically for the Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Horizons and Greater Wellington regions.

Groundstock recently produced an FEMP for Justin and Meg King from the Tukituki Catchment in Hawkes bay. “We thought we had five soil types but it turns out we have 17. There is huge opportunity to use that soil mapping data to fine-tune your inputs and to know what your expected outputs are too. The key is to use that data. That’s where you can pay for this plan pretty quickly.” says Justin.
